WDDD Global Ambassadors Unite for 2026

WDDD successfully hosted its Global Ambassador Meeting on 27 September 2026, bringing together Ambassadors from across countries to align on the movement’s upcoming priorities and the global direction for WDDD 2026.

The meeting focused on the 2026 theme, “Digital Balance, Human Connection,” under the identity “Time for Humanity.” Ambassadors discussed how communities around the world can create more intentional time away from screens and make space for meaningful human experiences.

A key focus of the meeting was the upcoming Human Time Bank, which will launch on 10 December 2026. The initiative will encourage people to donate one screen-free or mindful hour to meaningful offline activities—spending time with family and friends, connecting with nature, participating in wellness activities, or simply pausing from digital distractions.

Ambassadors also discussed identifying a suitable common “Time to Pause” in their respective countries and cities, creating an opportunity for people to collectively step away from screens and reconnect with life. The common time will be finalized and announced in November.

To support local celebrations, WDDD will provide Ambassadors with ready-to-use Celebration Kits containing planning guidance, campaign resources, and ready-to-print materials. Ambassadors will have the flexibility to adapt these resources to their local communities, adding their own ideas, local messaging, and partnerships.

The meeting also included an update on the WDDD Digital Fasting App, which is currently available internally to Ambassadors on Android, with the iOS version in progress. Ambassadors were encouraged to explore the app and share their feedback and suggestions before the wider launch.

Looking ahead, Ambassadors were encouraged to begin planning WDDD 2026 activities, build local collaborations, expand the movement within their communities, and invite schools, colleges, wellness centres, businesses, institutions, community leaders, and changemakers to participate.

The meeting reinforced a shared global vision: 10 December 2026 should become a meaningful day of digital balance, human connection, and human time across communities worldwide.
