Aadya Shinde: A Young Voice for Digital Balance
WDDD proudly celebrates its Youngest Youth Ambassador from India for inspiring children and young people to embrace digital well-being, responsible technology use and meaningful human connection.
At World Digital Detox Day, we believe that young people are not only the future of the movement—they are an important part of the movement today.
We are proud to recognise Aadya Shinde, the Youngest Youth Ambassador from India, for her continued efforts to carry the message of digital well-being to children, families and communities through her voice, creativity and participation.
Over the past few years, Aadya has actively contributed to promoting the principles of digital balance, mindful screen use and responsible technology through interviews, awareness activities and creative performances.
She has engaged with public representatives, celebrities and healthcare professionals to bring meaningful conversations around healthy digital habits to young audiences. Among these interactions was an interview with Mrs. Manisha Chaudhary, MLA, Dahisar Assembly Constituency, where Aadya helped share the importance of developing healthier relationships with technology.
Taking Digital Well-being Through Creativity
One of the most distinctive aspects of Aadya’s contribution has been her use of traditional Marathi creative expression to communicate a modern message.
With the support of her mother, Aadya has presented original Powadas and Abhangs centred on digital well-being and responsible technology use. Her performances have received recognition and prizes at different levels and have also been featured through World Digital Detox Day's official social media platforms.
Through these creative expressions, Aadya has demonstrated that conversations around digital wellness can reach young audiences in meaningful and culturally relevant ways.
She has also participated in awareness efforts connected with Narayana Schools, which implemented the initiative across a network of more than 800 schools in India. At Aarti Shetty Icon School, she further presented a Powada promoting the importance of digital well-being.
Carrying the WDDD Message Forward
Aadya's journey reflects what World Digital Detox Day hopes to inspire in young ambassadors around the world: the confidence to speak, the creativity to connect and the responsibility to use one's voice for positive change.
As WDDD continues to grow as a global movement for Digital Balance and Human Connection, the contributions of young ambassadors like Aadya remind us that the message of digital well-being can take many forms—from a conversation and a performance to an awareness initiative or a young person's decision to speak up.
We are especially proud to see Aadya continue this journey on wider platforms.
On 29–30 August 2026, Aadya will participate in Diplomathon, where she has been assigned the Tesla portfolio in the United Panel for Future-Ready Education (UPFRE). She will represent the company's perspective in discussions concerning the funding of future-ready education.
This platform offers Aadya an opportunity to bring her experience in digital well-being into broader conversations about how technology can support education in a balanced, purposeful and responsible manner.
WDDD is Proud of Its Young Ambassadors
World Digital Detox Day is built on a simple belief: technology should serve humanity, not replace it.
Our ambassadors around the world help bring this principle to life in their own communities, countries and areas of influence. Aadya's journey is one such example of how a young voice can contribute to a larger global conversation.
We congratulate and appreciate Aadya Shinde for her continued commitment as the Youngest Youth Ambassador from India and for using her creativity and voice to promote healthier digital habits among children and young people.
WDDD is proud to have Aadya as part of its global ambassador community—and we look forward to seeing her continue to inspire more young people to choose balance, connection and mindful technology use.
Digital Balance. Human Connection.
Time for Humanity.
World Digital Detox Day
A Movement of ZEP FoundationI would use “Aadya Shinde: A Young Voice for Digital Balance” as the website heading. It is warm, prestigious, and makes the story about her contribution, rather than making it sound like a routine ambassador announcement.
